What is SDS Plus Chisel?

SDS Plus Chisel is a type of drill bit attachment that is commonly used for concrete and masonry demolition work. It is designed to fit into an SDS Plus rotary hammer drill, which is a powerful tool that delivers high impact blows to break through tough materials.
The SDS Plus Chisel is a long, narrow bit with a flat, chisel-shaped end that is used to chip away at concrete, brick, or other hard surfaces. It is typically made of high-strength steel and is heat-treated for durability.
SDS Plus Chisels come in different shapes and sizes, including pointed chisels for breaking through hard materials, flat chisels for removing tiles and mortar, and wide chisels for removing large areas of concrete. They are widely used in construction and renovation projects where concrete and masonry surfaces need to be demolished or modified.
DS Plus Chisels are typically made of high-grade alloy steel, which is a durable and heat-resistant material. This type of steel is specially designed to withstand the intense impact and pressure generated during chiseling applications.
SDS Plus chisels are commonly used in the construction industry for various purposes such as breaking concrete, removing tiles, and chipping away mortar and plaster. These chisels are designed to be used with an SDS Plus drill, which provides the required power and force to drive the chisel tip through the material being worked on.
The chisel tip comes in different shapes and sizes, each designed for a specific type of application. For example, a pointed chisel is used for breaking up hard materials such as concrete and stone, while a flat chisel is used for removing tiles and scraping away surface materials. The SDS Plus system provides a quick and easy way to change the chisel tip, allowing the user to switch between different types of chisels as needed for the job at hand.
